燒窰遊傳奇The Legend of Hong Kong Ceramics
The Legend of Hong Kong Ceramics” is a group ceramics exhibition organized by the Hong Kong Ceramics Society. The 20 more participants were tutors and students of the former Higher Certificate Course in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Some of them have become well-known ceramists in Hong Kong and overseas in recent years. This course is the first comprehensive studio ceramics studies offered in academy in Hong Kong. Devoting themselves deeply to ceramics, most members have further studies in ceramics in other universities or studios of world known masters overseas after graduation. Most members are carrying on teaching ceramics in university or schools, and some of them even developed their private studio in these years.
There are more than 200 pieces of artwork in the exhibition. These recent creations show our members’ fruity result of their continuous and everlasting passion in ceramics. They play an important role in the development of current ceramics and ceramics education in Hong Kong.
